Buttercup is one of the three that came in last week. She is an adorable little mare. We estimate she is 9 or 10 years old and stands 15.1.
This mare scored very high on her evaluation. She stands well to be groomed and tacked, leads well and stood still to be mounted.
Buttercup has a very fancy little headset and uses her ears extremely well. Nealia and I both feel that she has the mentality to be a beginner lesson horse. She has a very nice easy trot. At this time I would not say she canters. Jessie did manage to get her into it and it did look like she had a vague recollection of what we wanted but that was about it. She is not too old and is willing with no tendency to mix her gaits so odds are she will learn it with some work. She does seem quiet enough to be a beginner w & T horse so she will be worth her weight in gold canter or no canter.
This girl is very attractive, would be sensational in the Academy Classes.

OH SHE IS ADORABLE SHE LOOKS A LOT LIKE MY JERICHO. THE SAME BUILD AND COLOR AND HEAD. JERICHO'S MARKING ARE A BIT DIFFERENT BUT WOW DOES SHE LOOK LIKE AND STAND JUST LIKE HIM.

I NOW HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT. MY SON SET IT UP FOR ME SO I COULD BUY STUFF ON THE INTERNET FOR JERICHO, SO I WILL SEND YOU $50 EACH MONTH. IF YOU HAVE SOME REAL SPECIAL NEEDS, LET ME KNOW I CAN ALWAYS SEND MORE THAT MONTH. PS LET ME KNOW WHENEVER I FORGET I AM TERRIBLY FORGETFULL.

Oh Karla B. Nelson - I too had a Jericho and he was startlingly lookalike to this mare - color, color intensity, blaze, expression - all except for one small hind sock. He was my very first horse and a Saddlebred-Arabian cross. I have an old (Kodak Brownie camera!) black and white snapshot and comparing the two blazes you simply could find no difference. I bet your Jericho was every bit as nice as mine was and the reason is that lovely Saddlebred temperament which seems to carry through even on the outcrosses.

I wish I could be the new forever home for this so lovely mare but with my newly rescued draftie (well, new as of about four months) it's not a possibility right now for lack of available space as the draftie has a triple stall (yes! the Equine Mountain needs a triple stall!). I hope she finds her forever home very soon.

Again - the lovely Saddlebred expression - I really REALLY like this mare.

Buttercup lives up to her name! Absolutely a lovely and very expressionistic (Is that a word? If not, she's now the definition.). She could please squirrels or adults all day long and take good care of them. Young, calm, good riding and personality plus!! What more can you ask for???? Huh????

My Smiley List is down or I would add a BUNCH of characters to this gorgeous girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She's even got those Buttercup eyelashes!!!!!

YES SADDLEBREDS ARE THE BEST I AM WILD ABOUT MY JERICHO. HIS MARKINGS ARE DIFERENT THAN HERS BUT THE BUILD AND EXPRESION AND COLOR ARE SO MUCH LIKE JERICHO'S JERICHO HAS A STAR AND THE THINEST STRIPE YOU EVER SAW ALMOST GONE IN A FEW PLACES AND THEN A SNIP AND THREE WHITE HOOFS COME UP ABOUT 5-6 INCHES ON HIS LEGS SORRY DONT KNOW THE PROPER TIRMINOLOGY YET. I AM GOING TO GET AN ONLINE PHOTO THING SO I CAN UPLOAD A FEW PICTURES OF MY LOVE.

Wow! I love the new video format. This mare is so sweet, I can just imagine her with her very own squirrel or a whole bunch of squirrels in a lesson program! She looks to be very steady at the trot.

WOW! I love this format - video is wonderful. Even more Wonderful the mare and the superb job Anne B. has done with this mare!!!! I will continue to watch this development - Would this mare make a good personal mount for home pleasure (in the woods) riding and develop into a mount to be used occasionally as a guest horse ? And lastly ( pm me) about her habits ?any vices? Thank You ! GREAT JOB !!!
