Leader is a 16 year old registered gaited gelding that has been at North Wind for some time now. He is safe but somewhat quirky and there are some things you need to do his way. Like when you mount you need treats and to take the german martingale off. He needs regular turnout to be on his best behavior. We have shown him and has a slick rack. If you are itnerested contact us so we can discuss him with you. The picture of him showing is from his previous life.

He does take a better rider but can teach a good rider to ride a gaited horse.

Handsome fellow! He's the --- third, it looks like? -- SBR recently to have his papers as part of the package! Hopefully that's a good sign about horses keeping their identities ...

Noooooooooooooooooooo!

I like Leader, he's definitely quirky but a good boy. I have an old lemon crate label framed in the kitchen. It has a Saddlebred head and the brand name "LEADER" on it along with the lemons. I have ridden this horse quite a few times as he was in NE for awhile.

This was at Nealia's in December though.

Hope he gets a good home. :-(

It is time for Leader to find a new home. He is gaited, he is quirky and you have to play by his rules. He is not for everybody. You will need to call and talk to us at length about him and your situation. If you are interested call Pat 908-304-3560 and we'll go from there.

Leader is such a handsome boy! What a breath-taking rack he has. I hope the right match for him is found soon, he is just a lovely Saddlebred, quirks included!

How is the Leader doing? He needs a Bump! He has such an amazing presence about him. Leader puffs himself up into that rack with such enthusiasm. It would be hard to not stare at him when he is worked out in your arena...

Hi all, it's me again...just wondering how the Leader is coming along? He sounds like he is quite the character with those quirks!

it was mention that there are some things that need to be done by leader's way. Does he happens to have any vices that you know of?

Greetings Aquinojonathan2, welcome to SBR! You will become addicted to the stories and kindness from members. Yes, the lovely Leader does have some quirks to consider, so just contact Pat as she advised in her May 15th post about discussing Leader's quirks, she will give you the low down. He is breath-taking though, isn't he? Best regards,
Flicka
