I know all of you have been on pins and needles waiting to hear about the dirty dozen (well almost a dozen), so here goes. We decide who to do evals. on by who we can catch first and today Sebastian was the first to come up to us. I guess I do not need to tell you that Sebastian is easy to catch. He is around 15ish years old and is about 16 hands. He did stand tied but when he thought he was the only one in the ties he did call and move around at first. After he realized he was not alone he stood like a champ. This gelding was easy to saddle and easy to mount. His tail has been in a set at some point and he did remember his training in the saddlebred world. Jason was the CTD today as Jessie had summer school and it would be too hot when she got home. Sebastian went right to the rail and knew what he was supposed to do and was happy to do it. While he stepped right up to the trot I think when he has been worked more he would make a good beginner horse. Sebastian had a great canter, very smooth and fairly slow. With work I am sure he would be a great lesson horse. I really like this horse and I will have some of my kids ride him later this week. This is one to jump on if you need a lesson horse.

Almost 3 hours, and no one has said anything nice about Sebastian yet? I like his face very much. His hindquarters remind me a lot of a walking horse we just had in the barn. Will he rack at all?

What a kind face! And one of the biggest bellies I've seen on a rescue. At least he was lucky in that respect.

Just talked to Pat, Sebastian's papers were in her mailbox today!!! That is a huge answer to prayers!! He is a 1992 model named "New Prospect". He had a short show career and has been on the road since 1996. We can't wait to meet him, the squirrels are raising funds for his shipping!

Congratulations-- Sebastian is one heck of a good boy. I was this close | | to picking him on Sunday but he was not different enough from Friendly to justify choosing him. I'm so glad he has a good home!
